TMN Workbench for AIX

Power tools for application development

Need to simplify the task of writing object specifications and agent/manager applications? Then the IBM TMN WorkBench for AIX is for you.

The TMN WorkBench helps you generate management applications, and modify and generate specifications.

Developing OSI applications can be exquisite drudgery. A typical GDMO document describing managed object classes contains lists of classes, packages, and all their sub-components, each identified by registered object identifiers. These definitions are complex and lengthy.

To write a management application, you must translate the object definitions into programming language data structures, a time-consuming job.

But TMN WorkBench eliminates much of the routine work involved in generating code for data structures. TMN WorkBench helps you:

And TMN WorkBench includes a "cookbook" with easy-to-follow examples of how to use each tool.
