Deregulation, new technologies, globalization of markets, increasing customer needs for multimedia services: it has become more and more essential to provide quick and accurate service to customers.
Most of today's OSS are mainly focused on management network technologies.
Italtel is migrating from technology-focused to service-focused OSSs, where the end customer must be the starting point when realizing the smooth running of the service operation and the OSS is the intermediary between customer and network.
This evolutionary path requires a different approach to the mode of operations.
Up to now, individual OSSs have been used for supervision and control of individual network elements. That is, they were stand-s alone proprietary OSS developed for stand-alone operations.
From now on, Italtel will construct service-oriented OSSs and customer-oriented OSSs, because quality of OSS means quality of service. And quality of service means quality of business.
